Step 2: Choose BehaviorsOnce a competency(ies) are selected employees can select the right Behaviors they need to improve to improve the respective competency and become a more effective manager/leader. Step 3: Build Development PlanOnce an employee or manager has identified areas for improvement (Competencies and Behaviors), Inspire helps employees build relevant and timely development plans by providing specific but short, and easily digestible activities for on-the-job development. Inspire recommends the best books, articles, blogs, e-learning and training available for each competency. Inspire is packed with more than 500 on-the-job activities, links to 230 books, over 130 articles and 50 videos by experts. The resources are searchable and categorized by subject, such as integrity, building trust, communication, teamwork, building talent, performance management and many others.

Step 4: Track DevelopmentOnce the right activities are added to a development plan, employees and/or managers can track the status and completed date for each activity. An employee has a much higher probability of completing a development plan if it is shared with a boss or coach. Inspire makes it easy for employees to share their development plan and initiate a dialog with their coach or mentor around leadership development and achieving their career goals.
